To the Community of JBRA New directions for publications in Latin America

Maria do Carmo Borges de Souza, Paulo F Taitson

Many aspects have been discussed about scientific publications in our LA community and we are all committed to improving the quality, as well as the visibility of JBRA Assisted Reproduction.

In fact, at this very moment we are all invited to a specific Symposium of IFFS during 13 RED Congress in Panamá, next May 2-4, entitled “How to write a scientific paper”, with Paul Devroye, nicholas Polyzos and Johan Smitz.

A Latin American journal written in English does not mean that we are losing cultural identity. While we seek new indexes, with online possibilities, keeping the printed condition, we aim to have a wider spread of the papers published.

We will always keep a summary in Portuguese and Spanish, in addition to that of English. So, it was agreed that from 2013 we will give priority to publishing articles in English.

At the same time, when the authors belong to a center nETWORK, this will be highlighted in the publication. We thank the President of SBRA, as well as the members present in the Assembly during the 16 th Brazilian Congress on Assisted Reproduction, in Guaruja, Sao Paulo, the availability of helping the editors by offering resources to reach this goal.
